- Our "Midnight Maker" classes were a success; and, we now have a new PrintrBot Simple Metal 3D Printer.
- Our new printer prints pretty good for a kit-built 3D printer. Naturally, it cannot compare to our PolyPrinter 3D printers; but, it's still pretty nifty!. It still needs a bit more calibration before we bring it online officially.
- Classes to be authorized to use it will begin in about two weeks. A new thread will be started on the TALK forums once the classes are set-up and scheduled. They will also be posted on the Calendar, of course.
- Here is a link to see one of the test prints being printed: https://www.facebook.com/3DFABatDallasMakerSpace/videos/vb.836048339768553/990082571031795/?type=2&theater

- Last month the Board of Directors Meeting approved funds to purchase a High Definition 3D Scanner.
- We have ordered the scanner; however, the last update I had, there was still about a 30 day backlog before they ship it.
- I'll post on the ongoing thread in the TALK forum as I receive additional updates on it: https://talk.dallasmakerspace.org/t/3d-scanner-for-the-space/943

- A few HVAC units servicing the Warehouse areas were leaking onto ceiling tiles. The ceiling tiles were removed due to damage and will be replaced.
- The cause of this turned out to be a clogged drain line that is shared with all of our suite's HVAC units. A plumber was called and is working on clearing the lines.
- In the meantime, the drain lines were disconnected (so the condensation "drains" on the roof itself) to avoid damage to the ceiling tiles and and tools near the affected areas.
- Two network drops were flipped from the back of the Lecture Hall to the new Arts room.
- Arts was severely lacking in network ports and the ports were almost never utilized in the Lecture Hall. There are still 4 live network drops in the front of the Lecture Hall
- Two more network ports were found to be dead in the new Arts room, and require rewiring in order to function. We are working on getting these working.
- A new line was run for the camera to be relocated to the new Arts room.
- Most of the public-use HP laptops are locked up until their configurations can be corrected.
- There was an unauthorized change in Operating Systems (and its configuration) that caused this.
- Power is being run for the new Lasersaur, Server Room, 3D Fabrication, and the Woodworking room.
