Old Business Updated:

1). The new printmaking computer has come in and Paul has unboxed it and set it up, he is waiting on tech people to install Windows and Adobe CC.

  • Paul needs to get a printer cable to connect the Epson printer.

2). Money Collection Box will be installed on the wall above the printer.

  • Lock box keys will go to Infrastructure/Finance.

3). Software brushes for Illustrator to make screen printing artwork, https://www.retrosupply.co/

  • We will hold off on purchasing brushes until we are sure Adobe CC can be installed on Printmaking computer.

4). DMS labels are not needed for the printer or the new computer according to Paul.

5). The chair needs to contact Jeff Whitcomb to accept the fire safe cabinet approved by the committee in the March meeting.

NOTES:

John K brought a 3D-printer made printmaking press he is working on. John and Russel tinkered with the press, making adjustments and discussing John's process for making the press.

John K and Darren discussed the plans John used to make the press and asked if he would share them. John figured out how to enlarge the press from the original plans posted online.

Katelyn Smith ordered trays to use for marbled paper. The chair asked Katelyn to keep the area clean during and after paper marbling.

Discussion about how to teach honorarium, how is it connected to Attendance of the class. Must have at least (3) students for a class to count as "made".

When teaching a class it is important to fill out the Attendance screen inside the Calendar of Events, this is tied to verifying whether the class has "made".

Russel Crow and Paul Wilson started up the Kluge Press to verify it is still running. Russel Crow oiled the press and mentioned we should contact Arthur Lara to visit DMS for a workshop.

Paul Wilson mentioned we should check into the price of new rollers for the Kluge.

The chair will try to reach out to Arther Lara to see if he is interested in a visit to DMS for a workshop.

The chair will try to locate a Kluge User Manual.

Meeting adjourned 8:30pm
